There’s a common misconception that with fashion newer is better. With the importance of making sustainable choices, vintage and pre-owned fashion items are on the rise with luxury buyers. Buyers, such as myself, are becoming more committed to making better choices for the environment. Used designer goods can be found on sites like The RealReal, Farfetch, and Decades Inc., or if you are lucky at your local vintage store.
After doing some in depth research, I have found three top vintage purses that have been in high-demand in 2020.

The main themes of social responsibility and rainwear (how fitting) dominated the collections. I attended the Saturday night show, which was dominated by Japanese designers.
Here’s my take on what Emily in Paris does not teach you about French fashion, how Emily has not assimilated to French culture, and whether Emily’s style will become more sophisticated in future seasons.
Audrey’s rare waifish beauty changed how elegance and style where viewed in 1950s and 60s with contemporaries such a Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor showcasing more buxom glamourus beauty. Her features came together in perfect harmony with many of her iconic looks showing off her thin and model-esque frame. She is a fashion icon who lives on to this day.
Growing up in my teen years from 2007-2015 Megan Fox was a style icon. She radiated “cool girl” vibes with her laid back rock t-shirts and jeans off screen and exuded “goddess” in her red carpet looks. She always looked effortlessly put together with a bit of an edge. Her role in the now cult classic Jennifer’s Body was my inspiration for my latest piece. Her character, Jennifer, a head cheer leader with a dark side hungry for blood, was the epitome of a complex female lead. On the surface she was popular and pretty but beyond the surface she was reckless, cunning, and determined. I believe all women are complex and that is what makes them unique, which is what I believe to be beautiful. I love seeing more complex female leads coming to life on screen in the last six years and hope we can keep shaping and re-envisioning what it means to be a modern woman on screen.
The convergence of global fashion and local brilliance at Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) consistently serves as a compelling bi-annual event for the Canadian fashion industry. This season's Spring/Summer 2026 showcase provided an especially fertile ground for observing the avant-garde, culminating in the highly anticipated presentation by the revered Canadian designer, Alex S. Yu.
Attending alongside Ariel Cao, Miss British Columbia 2023, with my own title having been attained in 2022 - and both of us recently placing as 1st and 2nd runners-up at Miss International Canada 2025, our presence was a dual celebration of achievement and refined taste. For the occasion, I was privileged to wear a magnificent nude, diamond-encrusted gown by the Netherlands couturier Chic & Holland, a label whose commitment to exquisite detail I had previously celebrated on the international pageant stage.
