This season's Spring/Summer 2026 showcase provided an especially fertile ground for observing the avant-garde, culminating in the highly anticipated presentation by the revered Canadian designer, Alex S. Yu.
Attending alongside Ariel Cao, Miss British Columbia 2023, with my own title having been attained in 2022 - and both of us recently placing as 1st and 2nd runners-up at Miss International Canada 2025, our presence was a dual celebration of achievement and refined taste. For the occasion, I was privileged to wear a magnificent nude, diamond-encrusted gown by the Netherlands couturier Chic & Holland, a label whose commitment to exquisite detail I had previously celebrated on the international pageant stage.
